EXPLORE ITALY WITH US!
Umbria & Rome, Italy
Spring 2020
Plunge into the local community with cooking classes and tastings that give you the full Italian experience!
Here is an example of our itinerary while in Umbria!
8:00 am
Start out your day with a tasty and leisurely breakfast chock full of local ingredients. It is the most important meal of the day after all. Delizioso...we could get used to this!
10:30 am
Get a taste of the local vibe with a tour of an olive grove in the Umbria countryside. The tour will be followed, of course, by olive oil tasting. Your guide will walk you through the varieties and nuances and you'll be an expert in no time.
12:30 pm
Shopping in Deruta for world-class pottery is a must! Here you will find that perfect gift and a cherished piece to bring home. A casual lunch at a cozy local restaurant will leave you satiated and ready to conquer the afternoon.
3:00 pm
Off to Orvieto to tour the large 14th-century Roman Catholic cathedral where you'll marvel at the ornate features and Romaneque and Gothic architecture. The city sits atop a cliff on a volcanic plug and the views and magic of the town are palpable.
8:30 pm*
A day like this just has to end with dinner fit for a king or queen! We'll enjoy a candlelit dinner in a local castle that is full of ancient charm, a magical atmosphere, and food by an award-winning chef. Buon appetito...
*In Europe we dine a bit later for dinner. We adhere to the local customs so that our trip is authentic to the region and her food.
11:00 pm
End your day sipping bubbles under the stars and reflecting on the food, history, and joy that filled your day. Buona notte!

“Abby created a perfectly detailed itinerary that allowed us to see everything that the Umbria region and Rome had to offer. The cooking classes with Lorena, Letizia and Daniela were nothing short of amazing. Their education and guidance in the kitchen influenced my newfound love for food, wine and olive oil! Every day was a new adventure, vineyard and history lesson through the region of Umbria and continued to our last stop in Rome. Abby’s profound love for Italy (and good food and wine!) showed, as she put her whole heart and soul into this adventure. I learned (and ate) more than I could have ever imagined on this trip. I highly encourage you to drop everything and go, you will not be disappointed! ”
